IPS Exam 642-532: Implementing Cisco Intrusion Prevention System

The Securing Networks Using Intrusion Prevention Systems exam is one of the exams associated with the Cisco Certified Security Professional and the Cisco IPS Specialist certifications. Candidates can prepare for this exam by taking the IPS v5.0 course. This exam includes simulations and tests a candidate's knowledge and ability to describe, configure, verify and manage the Cisco IPS appliance products.
Cisco does not publish the pass score for this exam, which can include these types of questions: “multiple-choice single answer, multiple-choice multiple answer, drag-and-drop, fill-in-the-blank, and simulations.” The exam has between 60 and 70 questions and lasts 90 minutes.
The topics covered by this exam include:
Describe how Cisco IDS/IPS sensors are used to mitigate network security threats
Install Cisco IDS/IPS sensors and configure essential system parameters
Tune Cisco IDS/IPS sensor advanced system parameters to optimize attack mitigation performance
Analyze Cisco IDS/IPS sensor events to determine the appropriate response to network attacks
Upgrade and maintain Cisco IDS/IPS sensors
Troubleshoot Cisco IDS/IPS sensor operation and configuration errors
Using on the Cisco Press (Carter) book (only) is difficult as the exam objectives cover hands-on on the sensor and management tools. I found some hands-on labs on the Cisco PEC site but it would be nice if the exam providers ie Boson got in the business here for sims, etc. This might be one where a live class is good. The exam prep session at Networkers 2006 was very well done.

I've got 4 simulations, 1 on CLI and the others on IDM. Lots of conceptual question. Mind your IDS CLI, and your Catalyst SPAN/RSPAN & trunking commands.
