SYNOPSIS MCSD .NETvs
Microsoft’s
exam 70-300, Analyzing Requirements and Defining Microsoft .NET Solution
Architectures is a core requirement for the MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution
Developer) for Microsoft .NET certification. It is designed for software
development professionals.
There
is no specific prerequisite for this exam but Microsoft recommends that
candidates have at least two years of experience in: Analyzing customer needs
and creating documents that specify requirements for software solutions in
multiple business domains; Modeling processes, modeling data, designing
components, and designing user interfaces; Designing, developing, and
implementing software solutions; Integrating new applications into legacy
environments; Plus, experience developing Microsoft Windows®-based applications and Web
applications by using Microsoft tools and technologies.
I've been an IT professional for 5 years and already hold my MCSD, but have no work involving .NET just yet. I bought the MSPress Training Kit but it was *completely* *useless*. All it discussed was the MSF, and the exam isn't too focused on that. In fact, the exam is quite technical, and if you read and understand what's in the ExamCram2 little red book, you'll do fine. But you'll likely need experience designing and architecting applications.
